Happy 100th Birthday Woody! We Want to Wish

Happy 100th Birthday Woody! We want to wish a happy 100th birthday to Woodson "Woody" Campbell, son of Everett and Mamie Campbell. Woodson was born on August 29, 1922 on the family farm in Mayslick, Kentucky. Woodson graduated from Mayslick High School in 1941 and joined the Army Air Force in 1943 during WWII. He served until 1946 as crew chief maintenance officer for the P-51 Mustang fighter plane. Woodson married Jeanetta Roberson on February 20, 1944. Woodson and Jeanetta moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1946. Together, they raised six children: Kenzie (Judy), Lindsay (Diane), Sharon, Debbie (Jim), Brenda (Rick) and Melvin (Barbara). Woodson worked at Delco Products from 1950 until his retirement in 1985. He and Jeanetta enjoyed many years of traveling across the United States after retirement. Jeanetta passed away in January, 2008. Woodson was awarded the highest title of honor bestowed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky; that of Kentucky Colonel. Woodson is the proud grandpa of 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
