ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CONTRACT #2019-05 MONROE BICENTENNIAL COMMONS PHASE 1 FOR DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS CITY OF MONROE, OHIO Sealed bids will be received by the City of Monroe Department of Public Works, 1000 Holman Avenue, Monroe, Ohio 45050, until two (2:00) o'clock P.M., local time, on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at which time the bids will be opened for the construction of the following: A proposed Phase 1 improvement to an abandoned amusement park site. This project consists of, but is not limited to, installation of erosion and sediment control devices, earthwork, utilities, standard and decorative concrete pavement, an octagonal metal building refurbishment including, within its confines, playground safety surfacing and a playground with various play features, a restroom with a small storage area, large entrance archway sign, site furnishings, landscape plantings, sod and seeding. The work shall commence within 30 calendar days of the acceptance of the contract proposal. The Contract Documents, including Project Specifications, are available for pick up at Minuteman Press Hamilton, 223 Court Street, Hamilton, OH 45011, Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100 NON-REFUNDABLE) for each set of plans and specifications. Checks shall be made payable to the "City of Monroe". Contact Jordan Parker at parkerj@monroeohio.org with any questions. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, properly identified with the bidder's name, contract number, bid-opening date and a statement that it is a sealed bid covering the services for which the bid is submitted. Bids shall be addressed to the Monroe Department of Public Works, 1000 Holman Avenue, Monroe, Ohio 45050. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Butler County and the City of Monroe, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. The City of Monroe reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received or to accept any proposal which is deemed most favorable to the City of Monroe, Ohio.
