ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PRIMARY EFFLUENT PUMP REHABILITATION WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ELECTRICAL UPGRADE AND UTILITY RELOCATION CONTRACT 1 Notice is hereby given that SEALED BIDS will be received in the Office of the Purchasing Agent, located on the fourth floor of City Hall, 76 E. High St., Springfield, Ohio, until 12:00 noon, local time, Friday, March 27th, 2020 for the Primary Effluent Pump Rehabilitation Contract 1 at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant. The work consists of: construction of a new Unit Substation #2, construction of a new Motor Control Center #3, construction of approximately 850 linear feet of electrical duct bank, relocation of utilities including 300 feet of 6' waste activated sludge force main, 2 ½' gas line, and storm sewer, provide temporary power during construction to facilitate decommissioning Unit Substation #2, demolition of the existing Unit Substation #2. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities, irregularities and technical defects of a minor nature. This bid will be subject to all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations and rules. Said work shall be subjected to the prevailing rate of wages as established by the Ohio Department of Commerce. MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING INFORMATION: A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, March 10rd, 2020, beginning at 10:00 AM, local time, at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, 965 Dayton Ave., Springfield, OH 45506.
