INVITATION FOR BIDS Washington Township (the "Township") will receive sealed bids for the materials and labor necessary for: Proposed Fitness Center Renovations for Washington Township RecPlex 895 Miamisburg Centerville Road Washington Township, Ohio 45459 Sealed Bids shall be received by the Township, Attn: Mark Metzger, Recreation Director, 8200 McEwen Road, Dayton, Ohio 45458 until 3pm local time, Thursday August 25, 2022 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud thereafter. The Township may choose to not award the bidand bidders shall hold bids openuntil sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The work for which bids are invited consists of interior renovations to the fitness center including new exterior storefront systems. The cost estimate for the Project is $977,676.00. The Contract Documents are available online at no charge. Copies of the Contract Documents may be downloaded from the following link: https://www.washingtontwp.org/ government/doing_business/request_ for_proposals. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The Owner intends that this project be completed in early March, 2023. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this Project. The Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process; and to enter into a contract with the bidder whom, in its opinion, offers the lowest responsive and responsible bid. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday August 11, 2022 with a tour immediately following. Interested Contractors should meet at Atrium Lobby at the Washington Township RecPlex.
