Invitation to Bid Legal Notice Sealed Bids

INVITATION TO BID LEGAL NOTICE Sealed BIDS for the contract of Rentschler Forest METROPARK Kennedy Creek Stone Bridge Repair will be received by the Board of Park Commissioners at 2051 Timberman Road, Hamilton, OH 45013, or via BidExpress service (www.BidExpress.com/ businesses/65146/home), until 2:00 P.M. (local time) on February 8th, 2023, and then at said office, publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders should submit all questions in writing via email to Matt Latham, Project Manager, mlatham@yourmetroparks.net or through BidExpress. All questions are due no later than 3:00 P.M. on January 30, 2023. To be eligible to bid, Bidder or listed subcontractors must be prequalified by the Ohio Department of Transportation in all of the following categories at the time of bid submission: Roadway Excavation and Embankment Construction, Aggregate Bases, Rigid Pavement Replacement, Structure Removal, Structural Repairs, Earth Retaining Structures, Drainage (culvert, misc.), and Miscellaneous Concrete. MANDATORY pre-bid meetings will be held at the project site, Rentschler Forest MetroPark, 5701 Reigart Rd, Hamilton, OH 45011, on January 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. (local time) and January 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. (local time). Bidders must have a representative present at one of the meetings and signed in to be eligible to bid. Meeting minutes will not be recorded or distributed. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its Bid a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Such Bid Guaranty shall be in the form of either a bond, secured by a corporate surety, in the amount of 100% of the bid amount; or a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit, made payable to MetroParks of Butler County, in an amount equal to 10% of the Bid amount. All corporate sureties shall be licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. If a check is used for bid guaranty, the physical check must be received at the MetroParks office prior to the bid opening deadline. Each Bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Bid and all persons interested therein. Successful bidders shall comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities. This is a prevailing wage project. MetroParks of Butler County is a government agency exempt from all local, state and federal taxes. Bids must be submitted either through BidExpress or in sealed envelopes clearly marked on the outside with the Bid No., project title, and the designation of the contract being bid upon. No bid may be withdrawn before sixty (60) days have elapsed after the Bid Opening Date. The Board of Park Commissioners intends to award a contract to the lowest and best bidder whose Bid is submitted in accordance with the requirements of the bidding documents and does not exceed the funds available for the Project. The project is described as follows: Repair of a stone, single span bridge structure over Kennedy Creek, in Rentschler Forest Park, with an add alternate for removal and replacement of a nearby stormwater culvert. No contract will be awarded if the lowest and best combined bid is in excess of 10% above the Engineer's pre-bid estimate of cost, which is published in the Contract Documents. Total Base Bid $143,430.00 Add Alternate #1 $20,685.00 The Board of MetroParks Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bidding.
