Legal Advertisement Sealed Bids Will Be Received By

LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT Sealed bids will be received by the City of Englewood, 333 W. National Road, Englewood, OH 45322, until 12:00 noon, Wednesday, October 5, 2022, for ENGLEWOOD HILLS SOUTH PARK ADA SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS. Bids will be opened in the Council Chambers of the Government Center as soon thereafter as practicable. The work involves the replacing the existing asphalt and concrete walking paths and access driveway with new ADA compliant concrete walking paths and driveway. The Contract Documents are available at the Englewood Government Center and at the following Miami Valley locations: Dayton Builders Exchange 2077 Embury Park Road Dayton, Ohio 45414 Bidders shall submit a BID GUARANTY in the form of either: 1) a bond for the full amount of the bid; or 2) either a certified check or a cashier's check in the amount of TEN PERCENT (10%) of the bid. A successful bidder shall replace the ten percent (10%) bid bond with a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond upon award of bid. Bid surety in bond form shall be issued by a surety company licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. FAX copies are unacceptable. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be conducted on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, 10:30 a.m. at the City of Englewood Government Center, 333 W. National Road, Englewood, OH 45322. Failure to attend the pre-bid meeting will be cause to reject a bid as non-responsive. All potential bidders are required to attend this meeting. Additionally, attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the Contract Documents and on the plans, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions including the Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope, identified as ENGLEWOOD HILLS SOUTH PARK ADA SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS, and MUST HAVE THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE BIDDER on the outside of the sealed envelope. The city of Englewood reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any irregularity in a bid, and to accept any bid that is deemed to be most favorable to said city.
