MIDPOINTE LIBRARY - LIBERTY LWC Commission No. 22613.00 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1.1 PROJECT INFORMATION A. Notice to Bidders: The Board of Trustees for MidPointe Library System (the "Board") will be accepting bids for the MidPointe Library - Liberty project. Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. B. Project Identification: MidPointe Library - Liberty 1. Project Location: 6716 Yankee Road, Liberty Township, OH 45044 C. Owner: MidPointe Library System. 1. Owner's Representative: Travis Bautz D. Architect: LWC Incorporated, 434 East 1st Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402 Lucas Lantz, 937.223.6500, llantz@lwcinspires.com E. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). 1.2 BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING A. Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows: 1. Bid Date: April 14, 2023. 2. Bid Time: 11:00 a.m., local time. 3. Location: MidPointe Library Middletown Branch. B. Interested contractors should submit one (1) original and two (2) copies of their fully completed and signed Bid Proposal, along with all required documentation, in a sealed envelope marked "CONFIDENTIAL." C. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee in accordance with O.R.C. Section 153.571. D. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud in the MidPointe Library Middletown Branch, Board Room located at 125 S Broad St, Middletown, OH 45044 E. All proposals shall be tabulated and computed, with report thereof made to the MidPointe Library System Board at its next board meeting (April 19, 2023) for review. F. The Board will award the Project to the lowest and best bidder; however, the Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities in any bid received and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the responsibility of any bidder. G. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of the bids. Any proposal received after the above referenced time and date will be returned unopened to the submitter unopened. 1.3 BID SECURITY A. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. 1.4 PREBID MEETING A. Prebid Meeting: A Prebid meeting for all bidders will be held at the MidPointe Library Middletown Branch located at 125 S Broad St, Middletown, OH 45044 on Tuesday, April 4 at 10:30 a.m., local time. Prospective prime bidders are requested to attend. Meeting will be held in the Board Room. 1.5 DOCUMENTS A.
