Notice to Bidders Sealed Bids Will Be Received

NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by the City of Trotwood at the Government Center, 3035 Olive Road, Trotwood, Ohio 45426, until 11:00 a.m. and opened immediately thereafter on Monday, June 22, 2020 for providing refuse collection and disposal services on an exclusive contract basis to all residential properties within the City (excluding apartment complexes) for a three-year term beginning October 1, 2020, subject to an optional extension of three (3) additional years in one (1) year increments. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "REFUSE COLLECTION BID." Bids must be accompanied by a BID GUARANTY in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in the amount of $100,000.00. Bids must be submitted on the bid form supplied by the City and located in the bid package. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety bond in the amount of $250,000.00 for faithful performance over the three-year life of the contract and any optional extensions as permitted by the contract. A completed bid packet will consist of the following parts: (1) Invitation to Bidders; (2) General Specifications and Instructions to Bidders; (3) Sample Service Agreement; (4) Qualifications and Financial Capability Statement; (5) Information Regarding Solid Waste Disposal and Recycling Services Facilities; (6) Form W-9; (7) Corporate Affidavit; (8) Non-Collusion Affidavit; (9) Personal Property Taxes Affidavit; (10) Bid Guaranty for Collection Services; (11) Bid Response Form; Bid packet documents are available via email through the Trotwood Government Center contact person, Julie Kilbarger at jkilbarger@trotwood.org beginning on Friday, June 5, 2020, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Bidders shall submit questions in writing to Julie Kilbarger at jkilbarger@trotwood.org. All questions and the corresponding answers will be emailed to all prospective bidders. The City reserves the right to accept any and all bids, and waive any irregularities. The right is further reserved by the City to award to the bidder who, in the sole opinion of the City, is the lowest and best bid for the services described. 6-5,6-12/2020
