Notice to Bidders Sealed Proposals Will Be Received

NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of Miami County Commissioners, at their Office, located at 201 West Main Street, Troy, Ohio 45373 until 1:35pm February 28, 2019 at which time and place proposals will be opened publicly and read aloud. Proposals received after 1:35pm will be returned unopened. Proposals shall be for the furnishing of materials and the performance of labor necessary for the: West Central Juvenile Facility HVAC Upgrades 2044 N. County Road 25A Troy, Ohio, 45373 All in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by Garmann/ Miller & Associates, Inc., 38 S. Lincoln Drive, P.O. Box 71, Minster, Ohio 45865: A Lump Sum bid for the project will be received. A prebid meeting will be held at 10:00 am on February 14, 2019 at West Central Juvenile Facility. The pre-bid meeting is mandatory. All Prime Contractors must attend to be eligible to bid. The facility will be open for inspection at this time. A Bid Security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, irrevocable letter of credit, or surety company bond pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised code in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall accompany each bid; or a bid guaranty bond in accordance with Chapter 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of 100% of the total bid shall accompany each bid. If a bid security in the amount of 10% of the full bid amount is submitted with this bid, each successful bidder is required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Bond from an acceptable surety in the amount of 100% of the full contract amount in accordance with Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. If a bid guaranty bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid is submitted with the bid, no additional Performance and Labor and Material Bond is required to be furnished by the successful Bidder. Successful Bidders shall conform to the Ohio "Schedule of Prevailing Wages". The bidder may access the Oho Department of Commerce, Wage & Hour Bureau at its web site for current edition of wage rates. DCplanroom.com; Phone 614-297-1200; Fax 614-297-1300. Each Bidder is responsible for shipping cost or providing a shipping number for billing to the bidders account. Each bid must be submitted in triplicate (original plus 2 copies) on a blank form furnished by the Architect, in a sealed envelope. Mark plainly on the outside of the envelope, the branch of work bid upon. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, irregularities and/or errors in the bids to the extent permitted by law. This includes the right to extend the date and time for receipt of bids.
