Notice to Bidders the Board of Education

NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Board of Education of the Oakwood City School District (the "District") will be accepting bids from general contractors for all material, labor and services necessary in connection with two separate asbestos abatement projects: (i) abatement of the Harman Elementary School located at 735 Harman Avenue, Oakwood, OH 45409 and the Smith Elementary School located at 1701 Sharfor Blvd., Oakwood, OH 45419 with an estimated budget of $100,000 (collectively, the "Elementary School Projects") and (ii) abatement of the Oakwood Jr./Sr. High School located at 1200 Far Hills Avenue, Oakwood, OH 45049 with an estimated budget of $85,000 (the "Jr./Sr. High Projects"). Each project will be subject to a separate bid and contract so interested general contractors desire to bid both projects, they should submit one (1) original and two (2) copies of their fully completed and signed Bid Proposal, along with all required documentation, in a sealed envelope separately marked either "CONFIDENTIAL: Proposal for Elemenary School Projects" or "CONFIDENTIAL: Proposal for Jr./Sr. High Projects" to the office of the Board of Education, 20 Rubicon Road, Oakwood, Ohio 45409, Attn: Todd Scott, by April 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. (EST) and the bids for each project will be opened and read aloud thereafter. DO NOT COMBINE BIDS OR SEND BIDS FOR EACH PROJECT IN THE SAME ENVELOPE. 1. There will be a mandatory walk-thru at HS on March 31, 2020 at 9:30 AM. Please meet at Jr. HS Office entrance near the stadium side of building. 2. There will be a mandatory walk-thru at each ES on March 31, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Please meet at Smith ES office entrance. We will go to Harman afterwards. Bidding documents may be obtained from the Board of Education offices during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and are also posted on the Board's website in accordance with O.R.C. Section 7.12 at and can be accessed by selecting the link labeled "Notice to Bidders". All questions shall be submitted via email to Todd Scott at Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee in accordance with O.R.C. Section 153.54 and in the forms proscribed in O.R.C. Sections 153.57 and 153.571. The School District will award the each project to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, however, the School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities in any bid received and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the responsibility of any bidder. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of the bids. Any Bid Proposal received after the above referenced time and date will be returned to the submitter unopened. 3-25, 4-1/2020
