RESOLUTION #14-3-18 CLARK COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS: ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES The Clark County Public Library, through its Board of Trustees, intends to contract for architectural design services in connection with the renovation of an existing parking lot area at 201 South Fountain Avenue, Springfield, Ohio 45506. The renovation and construction project is further described below. This Request for Statement of Qualifications, the Library's consideration of the Statement of Qualifications submitted, and any contract resulting therefrom are or will be in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.65-71. A copy of the full Request for Qualifications can be obtained by contacting the Director, as set forth below. Architectural firms interested in being considered for this contract to provide architectural design services must reply with a Statement of Qualifications to the address below no later than Twelve o'clock noon EST, March 18, 2019. Statements of Qualifications received electronically or by facsimile will not be considered. Statements of Qualifications received after the deadline will not be considered. Six copies of the Statement of Qualifications must be delivered by the deadline to: Bill Martino, Director Attention: RFQ-Architectural Design Services Clark County Public Library 201 South Fountain Avenue Springfield, Ohio 45506 A pre-proposal meeting and tour of the library will be held on February 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Main Library. Anyone interested in attending, should contact Bill Martino, Director, at (937) 323-9751. As required by Ohio Revised Code Section 153.69, the Library will evaluate the Statements of Qualifications submitted, and may hold discussions with individual firms to explore further the firms' statements of qualifications, the scope and nature of the services the firms would provide, and the various technical approaches the firms may take toward the project. Following this evaluation, the Library will select and rank no fewer than three firms which it considers to be the most qualified to provide the services requested, and attempt to negotiate a contract with the firm ranked most qualified. If negotiations fail, the Library will enter into negotiations with the firm ranked next most qualified. The contract sought by the Library will include the planning and design of the renovation, and coordination with the contractors, and will involve meetings with the Library Board of Trustees, Director, staff, and others. Project Description: The project is to redesign the Main Library Parking Lot Area and Patron Access Points located on West Jefferson Street and South Center Street. The budget for the project is estimated at $350,000 including design, construction, and furnishings. The source of funds is existing Library general funds. The Library desires to have the planning and design completed so that the construction will commence in the spring of 2019 and be completed by the fall of 2019. 1-19, 1-20/2019
