NOTICE OF CORRECTION TO INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS April 29, 2022 Butler County, Ohio - Community Development Department 130 High Street, 6th Floor Hamilton, OH 45011 (513) 785-5391 On April 12, 2022 the Butler County Department of Community Development published a Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds in this newspaper for the following activities: CDBG-CV City of Fairfield; Sidewalks Install $200,000 CDBG-CV Village of Millville; Community Center $28,000 CDBG-CV Fairfield Township; Park Project $160,000 The purpose of that Notice was to inform the public of the County's intent to request release of HUD program funds to support each project. The purpose of this notice is to correct a certain problem contained in the original notice. The notice incorrectly cited instructions to submit objections via regular mail and should read as follows: OBJECTIONS TO RELEASE OF FUNDS HUD will accept objections to its release of funds and Butler County's certification for a period of fifteen days following the anticipated submission date or its actual receipt of the request (whichever is later) only if they are on one of the following basis: (a) the certification was not executed by the Certifying Officer of Butler County; (b) Butler County has omitted a step or failed to make a decision or finding required by HUD regulations at 24 CFR part 58; (c) the grant recipient or other participants in the development process have committed funds, incurred costs or undertaken activities not authorized by 24 CFR Part 58 before approval of a release of funds by HUD; or (d) another Federal agency acting pursuant to 40 CFR Part 1504 has submitted a written finding that the projects are unsatisfactory from the standpoint of environmental quality. Objections must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the required procedures (24 CFR Part 58, Sec. 58.76) and shall be addressed to HUD via email at CPD_COVID-19OEE-COL@hud.gov and not via US Mail at the physical office.
