POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Green Township Trustee The Green Township Trustees in Green Township, Clark County, Ohio are seeking to appoint an additional Township Trustee to serve the more than 2,900 residents of Green Township. Resumes are currently being accepted by the Trustees from persons interested in the position until Friday, December 1, 2020. The successful candidate will be appointed by the Trustees for the remainder of an unexpired elected term of office through December 31, 2021. Salary is approximately $12,000 annually. A candidate must be a citizen of the United States of America, must be 18 years of age or older, must be a resident of the State of Ohio for 30 days preceding the appointment, must be a resident of Green Township, must be bondable and take the Oath of Office. A Township Trustee is an elected official that serves on a Board composed of three township trustees. This Board of Trustees is responsible for governing the affairs and functions of the township; and have both limited legislative functions as well as executive functions. A Township Fiscal Officer is also an elected official that attends Board of Trustees meetings and has responsibilities for township financial functions. The duties of the township trustees are prescribed in Chapter 5 of the Ohio Revised Code. Preference will be given to candidates with government experience, preferably in an elected position.
