Notice of 30 Day Public Comment Period

NOTICE OF 30 DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD'S DRAFT CONSOLIDATED PLAN FOR THE PROGRAM YEARS 2020 THROUGH 2024 AND DRAFT ACTION PLAN FOR 2020 The City has prepared the five year Consolidated Plan for the 2020 through 2024 Program Years which will be available for public review to solicit citizen comments and concerns. The Consolidated Plan contains information on and identifies the City's housing and economic and community development needs and outlines the resources and strategies to address those needs over the next five years from 2020 to 2024. The Consolidated Plan includes the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, the Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) Program, the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) and other community resources. As part of the Consolidated Plan, the 2020 Action Plan details how those programs' funds will be spent, describes other available resources that will be used and provides the City's one year strategy to increase the supply of decent safe and affordable housing in Springfield and address other community development needs specifically for the 2020 Program Year, the first of the five years covered by the Consolidated Plan. The 2020 Program Year starts on April 1, 2020 and continues through March 31, 2021. The 30 Day Public Comment Period for the Plans will begin on TUESDAY FEBRUARY 25, 2020 and end on THURSDAY, MARCH 26, 2020. Copies of the DRAFT CONSOLIDATED PLAN will be available for review in these places: 1. CITY HALL 2.
