Public Notice Elderly United of Springfield and Clark

Public Notice Elderly United of Springfield and Clark County, Ohio Inc., dba United Senior Services, a private non-profit corporation, intends to submit an application for a capital grant under the provisions of the Federal Transit Administration Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities, to provide transportation service for seniors and individuals with disabilities within Springfield and Clark County, Ohio. The grant application will request one (1) modified mini-van MVN 3-2. It is projected that 720 seniors, of which 56% may have a physical disability, will be transported yearly for various activities, including medical appointments, nutrition sites, essential errands, and social outings. United Senior Services is also active in local transportation coordination efforts. United Senior Services is a participant in the 2018 -2022 Clark County, Ohio Coordinated Public Transit Human Services Transportation Plan. United Senior Services invites comments and proposals from all interested public, private and paratransit operators, including taxi operators, for the provision of transportation service to seniors and individuals with disabilities within our service area. Operators who are interested in offering proposals to provide service should contact John Paulsen, Director of Operations of Elderly United of Springfield and Clark County, Inc., 125 West Main Street, Springfield, Ohio 45502 to obtain full details of the type of transportation service that is needed prior to preparing a proposal.
