City of Franklin, Ohio Notice to Bidders 335

CITY OF FRANKLIN, OHIO NOTICE TO BIDDERS 335 S. Main Street Rear Building Demolition Project Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Franklin, Ohio, until January 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., for the furnishing of labor and materials required to demolish the rear portion of 335 S. Main Street, according to the Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Specifications and Plans included with the bid packets. Bidders interested in bidding on this Project must obtain a bid packet directly from the City. Bid packets may be picked up at the City Administration Building, 1 Benjamin Franklin Way, Franklin, OH 45005, (937) 746-9921, upon a nonrefundable deposit of $25.00. Bid packets requested to be sent by mail will be an additional $20.00 per packet. Bids shall be delivered to the same address and the outside of the sealed Bid shall be clearly marked with "City of Franklin 335 S. Main Street Rear Building Demolition Project." Bids are to be submitted on the following proposal: the furnishing of labor and materials required to demolish the rear portion of a 3 story building located at 335 S. Main Street, Franklin, Ohio 45005 and other miscellaneous items as directed by the City Engineer, and in accordance with the Specifications, Plans and Conditions included in the bid packets. Bids are to be submitted on a per unit basis and are to be for complete work including all traffic control required, removal and disposal of all demolished items and material and the securing of the existing openings on the rear of the remaining building. The estimated cost for the project will not exceed $85,000. Pursuant to ORC Section 153.54, no bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by a Bid Bond for the full amount of the bid -OR- a cashier's check or certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to the order of the City of Franklin, in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid. The Bid Guaranty shall be enclosed with the sealed bid. The attention of Bidders is directed to the special statutory provisions contained in ORC Chapter 4115, governing the prevailing rate of wages to be paid to laborers and mechanics employed on this Project, and also to ORC 153.59 regarding nondiscrimination. The City of Franklin reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any discrepancies or irregularities in the Bids.
