INVITATION TO BID LEGAL NOTICE Sealed BIDS for the contract to construct the Meadow Ridge Area of Elk Creek MetroPark Connector Road (2024-002) will be received by the Board of Park Commissioners at 2051 Timberman Road, Hamilton, OH 45013, or via BidExpress service (www. BidExpress.com/businesses/65146/home), until 2:00 P.M. (local time) on May 2nd, 2024, and then at said office, publicly opened and read aloud. Bids submitted via e-mail are not acceptable. The project is described as follows: Construction of paved connector road from Circle Drive through the Meadow Ridge area of Elk Creek MetroPark per the attached construction specifications. The project also includes drainage improvements and a parking lot. The project road will terminate at a guard rail area prepped to be completed by a future construction project. The Contract Documents are available online at https://www.yourmetroparks.net/about/rfps-and-bid-opportunities. Copies of the Contract Documents may also be obtained or examined in person at the MetroParks Administration Building during regular hours. MANDATORY pre-bid meetings will be held at the project site, Meadow Ridge Area of Elk Creek MetroPark at 5101 Circle Parkway, Middletown OH 45042, on April 22nd, 2024 at 2 p.m. and April 23rd, 2024 at 10 a.m. (local time). Bidders must have a representative present at one of the meetings and signed in to be eligible to bid. Meeting minutes will not be recorded or distributed. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its Bid a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and clearly marked with the Bid Number (2024-002), project title, and the designation of the contract being bid upon. The Board of Park Commissioners intends to award a contract to the best value bidder whose Bid is submitted in accordance with the requirements of these bidding documents. The Board of Park Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonmaterial bid irregularities. This is a prevailing wage project. No contract will be awarded if the lowest and best combined bid is in excess of 10% above the Engineer's pre-bid estimate of cost, which is published in the Contract Documents.
