Twin Valley Community Local Schools Will Be Accepting

Twin Valley Community Local Schools will be accepting bids for asphalt/sealcoating of the district parking lot. Only proposals which include all the information requested will be considered. Bids should be sent to Jeff Tully, Director of Facilities and Maintenance, Twin Valley Community Local School District, 100 Education Drive, West Alexandria, Ohio 45381, (937) 839-4688. Bids should be received at this office as soon as possible, but no later than 12:00 PM noon, Friday, May 3, 2024. Place the term "Asphalt Bid" on the envelope. Bids submitted shall impose no liability or obligation on the part of the Twin Valley Community Local School District Board of Education. The right to accept or reject any or all bids, or request future bid quotations, is solely at the discretion of the Board of Education. In awarding a contract, the Board of Education also reserves the right to consider those elements pertinent to determining the qualifications of the bidder and its agents or representatives. Any bid which is incomplete, conditional, obscure, or which contains irregularities of any kind may be rejected. Description: Rear lots and lane (115,350); Cut back all vegetation. Clean all asphalt lots and drive-lanes with high powered blowers (pressure wash areas as needed). Install hot pour crack filler that meets or exceeds ASTM D-5329 with double broiler type crack fill machine. Crack fill machine will constantly agitate material to keep material heated evenly. Apply primer to oil spots. Sealer will be mixed per manufacturer's specs (fortified with silica sand and latex additive). First coat of sealer will be installed by mechanical squeegee. The second coat of sealer will be applied by mechanical spray bars (hand sprayed in areas that cannot be reached with spray bar). Re-stripe lot to match existing layout. Patch areas marked out by owner (1,029 sq. ft.): Mill out deteriorated asphalt to depth of 4", remove spoils off site, install 2" of base asphalt & compact, install 2" surface asphalt & compact, band patch to existing asphalt. Seal area where current angled bus lines exist and paint new straight in bus lines. Cust back all vegetation, clean lot with industrial blowers, install sealer over entire area where current bus lines exist and install new straight in bus lines. 4-14, 4-19/2024
