LEGAL NOTICE ORDINANCE REQUIREMENTS Carlisle Code (Section 1466.32) requires that weeds and grass in yards and vacant lots be kept below 8" in height between April 1 and November 1 of each year. Property owners will be given one five-day notice to mow. If property owner fails to comply, the city will contract out the mowing and bill the property owner for the cost of cutting and removal, with a $200.00 administrative fee. Failure to pay will result in a tax lien on the property. Subsequent violations will not receive additional notifications and the village will proceed with abating the tall grass and weeds.
